Junior Tennis Programs

Our philosophy on children and their development in sports is foundational to everything we do. What children want most in their formative years is to belong, to be accepted by a group of peers and the adults that lead their group. As part of Elite Racquet Sports commitment to have as many young people participating in sports and fitness, a number of junior programs including camps are offered all year-round. The junior programs cater for children from 4-18 years-old. Age appropriate equipment is used with the relevant curriculum to ensure that the children not only learn and develop as athletes but also have fun and enjoy racquet sports.

Over the years, our tennis programs have evolved as we better understand the development needs of children. The methodology adopted, focuses on learning the rules through practices and drills. To provide the best coaching instruction for your child(ren), all tennis professionals and instructors have the required certifications to facilitate the programs we offer. Our programs fall into three categories: Tiny Tots, 10 & Under, and Junior Academy. In addition to tennis for juniors,

Tiny Tots is an introductory class for 4-year-olds, who are not yet attending full days of school. The program focuses on coordination, drills and basic strokes. The kids learn to start building motor skills, by working through movement and balance exercises through fun activities and games using hoops, footwork ladders and cones. This is also great for beginning 5 year olds to learn fundamental basics and confidence prior to our Red I class.

For the 10 & Under age group, we offer our world-class program. This program addresses and meets the needs of children. It is comparable with the USTA 10 & Under program, and utilizes the Red, Orange and Green ball system. This instruction focuses on building basic and advanced skills will be taught and honed through various drills, integrated into on-court competitive events. The players also start to learn the rules of the game through practices and drills.

The Junior Academy program is for children 11-18 year-olds. Offering three levels in this category, the instruction for the Junior Academy focuses on the fundamentals, techniques and strategies of tennis. The goal of this level is to prepare the players for high school and collegiate competitions. Tennis professionals at Elite Racquet Sports has produced top ranked juniors with numerous college scholarships.
